Connectivity of Small Populations in Remote Communities Roundtable

The Roundtable will develop a framework for policy makers to help make better decisions with respect to providing adequate connectivity levels for remote, low-density areas. The Roundtable will discuss different approaches to measuring the level of services and mobility available to remote communities, including the effects of transport service quality on the viability and long-term sustainability of remote communities. It will also explore costs and benefits of different policies to support transport connectivity for remote communities across different transport modes (air, maritime, rail and road transport) as well as other innovative approaches that foster access to key services.
