ECMT Road Transport Platform

The ECMT Road Transport Platform facilitates international road transport and trade in its member countries. A constantly-evolving interactive tool, it fosters decision-making by members through analysis and development of recommendations on best practices, to be agreed by the member country ministries.

The platform provides full information on the ECMT Multilateral Quota system as well as real-time status updates. The Quality Charter for Road Haulage Operations under the ECMT Multilateral Quota System and the state of its implementation in member countries is included. Information on national regulations, practices and data for information for competent authorities is provided for hauliers engaged in international road transport, other stakeholders and the wider public.

The platform also houses the Group on Road Transport, information on the maximum permissible weights and dimension of lorries and coaches in member countries, national regulating and enforcement bodies, national control and border crossing procedures.

The platform was established by the ITF's ECMT member countries to meet the ministerial mandate of 2018.

The ITF's ECMT Member countries are: Albania, Armenia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Moldova, Montenegro, Netherlands, North Macedonia, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russian Federation, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Türkiye, Ukraine and the United Kingdom.
