Shaping Post-Covid Mobility in Cities Roundtable
The Roundtable on 8-10 June 2022 covered four topics: First, it sought to better understand how Covid has changed travel behaviour in cities and draw lessons for policy makers on how to manage mobility in future. Second, it looked at how teleworking impacts travel demand. Third, the Roundtable looked at which policies best support multimodal travel and which measures should be implemented during the recovery from the pandemic. Finally, the event considered the role of governments, employers and transport authorities in influencing new patterns of development, ways of working, and ways of commuting. Throughout, the focus was on which specific actions policy makers and urban mobility stakeholders including city planners, local authorities, transport operators, employers and national governments, can take to shape post-Covid mobility in positive ways.
