GHG Emissions Accounting and Reporting for Transport (COP29 Event)

The transport sector presents substantial environmental and economic risks, being a major contributor to global greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. With increasing commitments to achieving net-zero carbon emissions, effective tracking and reporting of GHG emissions are essential. During this event, the ITF will share insights from its upcoming report, Bridging the Gaps: Advancing GHG Emissions Calculations and Reporting for Decarbonised Transport. This project evaluates current GHG accounting and reporting practices within the transport sector, highlights critical challenges, and proposes strategies to address them effectively.
