Irish Parliamentary Joint Committee on Climate Action

Elisabeth Windisch, Team Lead in the Division of Quantitative Policy Analysis and Foresight, is a "witness" to a session of the Irish Parliamentary Joint Committee on Climate Action.
This meeting is in the context of a recent revision of the Irish CO2 reduction targets: currently a cut of 51% compared to 2018.
The committee has agreed to undertake a sector-by-sector analysis to investigate how this reduction can be achieved. They began with the transport sector and have organised three public sessions in this context, to aid in the understanding of the policies required to advocate the acheived target by 2030.
Other witnesses include Prof. Alan McKinnon and Dr. Lynn Sloman.
After the opening statements of the 3 witnesses there will be a question and answer session with members of the parliament.
