Ninth Meeting of the Working Group on the Asian Highway

Wei-Shiuen Ng, Advisor – Sustainable Transport and Global Outreach at the International Transport Forum is a speaker. She presents ITF’s work on sustainable freight and the ASEAN Covid-19 recovery guidelines that were jointly developed by the ITF, ESCAP and the ASEAN Secretariat.

The ninth Biennial Meeting of the Working Group on the Asian Highway is convened in accordance with Article 7(2) of the Intergovernmental Agreement on the Asian Highway Network.  The Working Group considers the implementation of the Agreement and any amendments proposed by the Parties. The Working Group also serves to advance discussions and information exchange on the operationalization of the Asian Highway Network.
