Working Group on Funding Public Transport

ITF Secretary-General Young Tae Kim gives opening remarks at ITF's new Working Group on Funding Public Transport. Funding public transport has for several decades required substantial subsidies, while climate change, equity and urban liveability policies will require major new investments. The capacity to fund these through general tax revenue is limited, making it essential to identify innovative funding sources that can enable governments to meet their policy objectives.
