Final Event of the East Africa Project

ITF evaluates large-scale transport infrastructure programs in East Africa to enhance freight transportation connectivity, funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea (MOFA). Using ITF modelling tools, the project assesses the impact of existing and planned infrastructure and trade policy measures. It identifies gaps and opportunities in regional freight connectivity to benchmark national freight transport policies against international best practices, pinpoint areas for enhancing sustainability and resilience, and provide policy recommendations for targeted investments and improvements.

The dissemination event engages regional and international stakeholders to foster dialogue on enhancing connectivity, sustainability, and resilience in East Africa’s freight movement.
