Apply now for the ITF Journalism Award “Transport and Mobility in Latin America”
From 13 November 2023, journalists can submit their work for the ITF Journalism Award “Transport and Mobility in Latin America”.
This new award recognises an outstanding piece of journalism that covers a transport-related topic of relevance for Latin America.
Entries must address the role of transport in economic development, environmental sustainability or social inclusion in the region. Any form of journalistic expression is eligible.
The entry must have been published in either Spanish, Portuguese or English between 1 January and 31 December 2023.
The award winner will:
- Travel to Europe to attend the 2024 Summit of Transport Ministers in Germany as a guest of the International Transport Forum.
- Receive the Award from the hands of the ITF Secretary-General at a ceremony during the Summit.
- Present the topic of the winning entry at the Summit and discuss it with high-level attendees.
The ITF Summit is the world’s largest gathering of ministers with responsibility for transport and the premier global transport policy event. The 2024 Summit takes place from 22-24 May in Leipzig, Germany.
The Journalism Award “Transport and Mobility in Latin America” is organised by the International Transport Forum (ITF) at the OECD. The ITF is an intergovernmental organisation with 66 member countries. It is the only global body with a mandate for all transport modes.
