Transport and Covid-19: responses and resources

COP29

ITF joins the 2024 UN Climate Change Conference, COP29 to share the latest transport sector research and data on decarbonisation.

With the right policies, transport CO2 can be cut drastically: by nearly 70% between now and 2050. This would put the world on a path to limit global warming to 1.5°C. As a UNFCCC focal point for transport, the ITF team is on hand during COP29 to share the latest evidence-based insights to help policy makers implement the climate actions we need to achieve our global climate goals.

COP29 host Azerbaijan is the ITF's First Vice-Presidency country during 2024/25.

ITF launches three new reports at COP29:
Decarbonising Aviation: Exploring the Consequences
Greenhouse Gas Emissions Accounting and Reporting for Transport
Managing Competing Sectoral Demands for Renewable Energy
