Note: this applies to trucks used by Maltese hauliers and carrying Maltese registration. Maltese hauliers involved in international operations are allowed to use trucks leased from other EU Member States, in which case no taxes or charges apply.

There is one zone where vehicular access is limited and trucks of this size are forbidden to access.
